Install Digital ID App

Install Digital ID as a Progressive Web App (PWA) on your device for quick, app-like access to your ID card.

Desktop Installation

Chrome or Edge Browser

  1. Look for an install icon in your browser's address bar (usually appears as a "+" or download icon)
  2. Or use your browser's menu: Menu → "Install Digital ID"
  3. Follow the prompts to complete installation

Firefox Browser

  1. Windows: Click the menu button (three horizontal lines) → Select "Install" (requires Firefox 143.0+)
  2. macOS/Linux: PWA installation is not natively supported in Firefox. Please use Chrome or Edge browser instead.

Firefox PWA support varies by platform. Windows users need Firefox 143.0 or later.

Safari Browser

  1. Use File → "Add to Dock" to add the site to your dock
  2. Or use the Share menu to add to your home screen (macOS)

Troubleshooting

Install button doesn't appear

  • Ensure you're using a supported browser (Safari on iOS, Chrome/Edge on Android)
  • Make sure you're accessing the site over HTTPS (required for PWA installation)
  • Try refreshing the page
  • Check that your browser is up to date

Already installed?

If you've already installed the app, you'll see it on your home screen. Tap the icon to open it. The app works offline and provides quick access to your ID card.
